Apple launched a new 16″ MacBook Pro with a return to a scissor-style keyboard, better sound, and screen. Here’s everything you need to know, as well as info on the new graphics procesor inside.

In other news, graphics professionals will be getting a Mac Pro as their Christmas present (it’s shipping in December), Disney+ has launched on iOS and tvOS (there’s also an in-depth review here), and to wrap up today’s Apple-related news, here are the results of the Apple Heart Study, and a review on the Brave web browser.

Nathan: There is quite a bit more than the scissors keyboard and the somewhat bigger screen that might merit mentioning: 8-core CPU, up to 64 GB of very fast memory, 8 TB of SSD storage, T2 extra-security chip, 11-hours of battery before having to recharge, etc. As you might be able to see here:

And comes also with only those tiny USB ports that means one needs to either put dongles on everything that has to be plugged in or get one of those sleek little port hubs that are, blessedly, quite cheap and let you plug the jacks of older USB types, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. And still has that fancy touchbar instead of  function keys at the top the keyboard.
